Another project which made me a lot of fun: Modding a stock keyboard until it is just amazing!
Therefore I bought a Ducky one 2 mini model version 1861ST and started some modding.
What I did:
- cleaned the keyboard
- unsoldered the switches
- spring swapped the springs of the switches
- lubed the switches with Krytox GPL205g0
- lubed the stabs with Krytox GPL205g0
- applied the tape mod
- filled the case with PolyFill
- flashed QMK incl. working RGB light (the QMK merged build is not activated to work with RGB LEDs so far but this worked for me: link)
I am really satisfied with the result and happy to gift the keyboard to other future enthusiasts.

Hey!
Could you leave a write up or link to a write up to how you flashed QMK w/ the RBG working?
I was deciding between the Ducky One 2 Mini and the Anne Pro 2, and this would definitely make me lean towards the Ducky One 2 Mini.
Also, would you have the Ducky One 2 Mini v2 model? or is this v1?
Hey,
this is where I started:
I hope that helps.
Tested it successfully with the 1861st version.
