rebuilt Polaris III

I was searching for “the last” built for my Polaris.

As I had some issues with the 1,2mm PCB, a POM plate and millmax sockets, I decided to remove the millmax sockets again and solder it.

Also I wanted to tune the Cherry Blacks a bit.

So I disassembled the board, removed the sockets. During that, I pulled out some solder pads – so I knew already the reassemble will be hard.

The Cherrys were cleaned, put into a break-in machine and lubed again with Trybosis 3204, filmed again with Deskeys film, springs swapped with TX springs which where oiled with Krytox 105g0.

During assembly I needed to built about 10 solder bridges to fix the pulled solder pads.

At the end the result is as expected: very nice!

But I will never touch this PCB again.

As a last touch I added MoDo2 which I think fits quite nicely.
