I just swallowed the pill and bought the ai03 Polaris via the aftermarket.
It was built with:
- Polaris WK grey
- everglide dark jade black switches (Moyu black)
- everglide stabs
- FR4 half plate
- case foam
In the package there was also PCB foam and an aluminium plate which i will try in the future.
Also I bought a replacement PCB as backup and ordered some POM plate to test different setups.

Your from the above photo shows exactly why GMK Laser is such disappointment for me. The reflective nature of keycap background together with inconsistent texture makes it look the way I really don’t like and also makes legends fade away from view and less readable. Shame I haven’t seen your photo before spending fortune on it.

I am very sad, that you are not satisfied with your laser set.
Do you think it is GMK’s fault or just by design? Have you compared it to other sets? What is your favourite set?
As far as I know, the alpha font is equal across all sets.
If you don’t like it, sell it without a loss or just a small arbitrage – that is also a point I appreciate.
